Heritage Park Lights

For years, residents have had to travel along this busy walking path in the dark. North Tonawanda Citizens on Patrol helped pressure the City of North Tonawanda to get lights installed along this busy walking path.

The project ran into delays when National Grid found the poles dating back to 1939. Some of them were structurally unsafe. Therefore they were also replaced as a part of this project. The lights themselves are 150 watt High Pressure Sodium lamps - which is a fairly typical streetlight.

Here are some before and after photos of Heritage Park at night time.
